GLC Gateway Academy: Lead Practitioner in Science

The Gateway Academy is the secondary provision within the Gateway Learning Community [GLC] which is a partnership between one secondary and four primary Academies located within Tilbury and Chadwell in the borough of Thurrock to the east of London.

The Gateway Academy is seeking to appoint a dynamic and motivated Lead Practitioner in Science. This role is critical to the Academy’s continuing progress; it is integral to how we will achieve the highest standard of learning and teaching in every classroom.  Leadership of Science is award-winning with a very well-established and extremely hard-working team.

 Ideal candidates will: 

• have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills 
• have experience of providing professional development to teachers, including coaching, mentoring and training 
• have proven experience of positively impacting on student progress and raising attainment and developing excellence 
• have outstanding subject knowledge
• have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of pupils
