  • The GLC Student Awards

    This half term marked a wonderful celebration of achievement at the GLC Student Awards Ceremony. Congratulations to all the students who received an award – your hard work and dedication truly shone through. A special well done to The Gateway Academy’s Head and Deputy Head Students, who did a fantastic job presenting the ceremony with confidence and professionalism. The Primary Head Pupils were equally impressive, supporting the Heads of School in handing out the awards with pride and enthusiasm. We were also honoured to welcome our guest speakers, former students Megan Bramhill and Malcolm Ololade, whose inspiring words left a lasting impact on everyone in attendance.

  • Houses of Parliament

    The GLC school council leads enjoyed an inspiring trip to the Houses of Parliament, where they explored the historic building, learned about the UK’s democratic processes, and took part in a workshop on how laws are made. They also had the opportunity to sit in the public gallery and observe a live debate in the House of Commons, giving them a real insight into the workings of government. They will then be sharing their learning as part of UK Parliament week in November.

  • The GLC More Able Maths Masterclass

    GLC Parents/ Carers and children came together for the first GLC More able Maths Masterclass of the academic year. During this session, Mrs Mcloughlin and the more able leads presented an exciting and informative masterclass entitled - To Infinity and beyond.  In this session pupils and parents learnt about infinity and bounded infinity.

  • Secondary Holiday Provision

    We have been working tirelessly to ensure our students maximise learning through the offer of a Summer Holiday School where our aim was to provide ambitious, challenging curriculum activities in order to rapidly improve attainment and support our children’s

    wellbeing.  This intensive learning programme focused on English and Maths whilst having a practical approach to learning in a fun and safe environment.  Children were also offered the option to attend a variety of fun, enrichment sessions that included a Food workshop, 32 Challenges led by The Problem-Solving Company, Drumming, Dance, Drama, inflatables, a range of sports sessions and more!

  • Primary Holiday Provision

    Published 16/10/25

    This summer’s successful GLC Primary Holiday Provision brought together children from across the Trust to TPA, creating a vibrant and inclusive environment filled with fun and learning. Pupils took part in a wide range of activities including team-building challenges, music sessions, sports, and creative Lego workshops. A highlight was the creation of identity boxes, where children celebrated their individuality while developing compassion and understanding for others. The week was a fantastic opportunity for building friendships and confidence across schools—roll on this year’s provision!
