  • World Book Day 2025

    Published 06/03/25

The children had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day, a day all about the joy of reading and focussing on our theme All Different, All Equal. Primary pupils each had a book in focus and took part in fun activities throughout the day in mixed year groups. The Gateway Academy students tackled a challenging neurodiversity crossword. The quiz highlighted different neurodiverse conditions and celebrated literature that promotes inclusion.

It was great to see increased attendance across The GLC for World Book day — well done!

    TPA – 96.2%
    HPA – 95.3%

  • An Inspiring Moment for our Young Bloco Players!

    Published 03/03/25

We were thrilled to see Mercury Prize winners Ezra Collective take home the award for Best Group at the 2025 Brit Awards! Their live performance was even more special as they were joined by 30 young musicians from Kinetika Bloco — an organisation some of the band members were part of as children. This added an extra layer of energy and spectacle to the show.

What an inspiring moment for our own Bloco players, showing them the incredible possibilities that lie ahead and motivating them to keep practicing and embracing every musical opportunity that comes their way!
